We have really been enjoying our time at home during this holiday season. JMRR worked 109 performance dates in 2017! Add in an extra day of travel for the majority of those, plus about 8-10 days studio time producing our 2017 recording The Story We Tell, and we were ready for a little hibernation. THANK YOU for your encouragement and prayers this past year, and for attending concerts and festivals, purchasing recordings, attending our indoor festival in Ohio and everything else you contributed to a blessed 2017! We are also very thankful to our friends who are industry professionals for featuring us on radio, television, and the cover of Bluegrass Unlimited magazine, the songwriters for sending us great material, IBMA voters for recognizing us, a couple of guest appearances at the Grand Ole Opry, and many more opportunities that allowed us to connect with thousands of people. Presenting JMRR on stage, sponsored by Rue Farms Rustic Potato Chips™, our first national sponsor, was one of our career highlights and certainly made 2017 fun and tasty for everyone! We distributed thousands of bags of delicious, all natural potato chips to fans courtesy of our friends at Rue Farms, AND we stopped at about a dozen Big Lots stores nationwide creating all kinds of chaos. Make it a New Year’s resolution – “Get yourself a bag or two of Rue!” Personally, we are very thankful for everyone on our team working daily to help us keep the bus on the road and the band in the spotlight: Chuck Evans, Laura Mainer, Kimberly Williams, Megan Brugger, Daniel Mullins – ALL of these folks are loved and appreciated for their continuous contributions. And back at home, NOTHING the band does matters without the love and support of Tammy, Theresa, Makole, Jennifer, and Sarah – thanks girls! The new year hasn't even arrived and we're already preparing for another busy one! We'll officially kick off our 2018 schedule with a couple shows that are regular stops for us in Ohio and Kentucky. January 12th we'll be at the Marysville, Ohio Winter Bluegrass Series, and January 13th we'll look forward to visiting all our friends in Clay City at the Kentucky Friends of Bluegrass Concert. February finds us heading to Florida for much of the month and we have to admit, these cold temps have got us pretty excited about enjoying warmer weather in the middle of winter. Our "snowbird" friends may be on to something! Be sure to check out our entire 2018 schedule for a show near year very soon! 2018 Tour Schedule |
